Pricing is still the blind spot for most Moroccan creators. You will see an account with 80 000 followers charge 800 MAD for a Reel while another with a comparable audience gets 6 000 for the same thing. The gap almost never comes down to content quality: it comes down to pricing method, and to the confidence with which the rate card is presented.
The CPM logic: the right place to start
CPM (cost per thousand impressions) is still the most stable metric for anchoring your rates. In Morocco, the 2026 benchmarks we track on the platform and with the agencies fall into these ranges:
- Instagram Story: 8 to 18 MAD per 1 000 engaged followers
- Organic Reel or TikTok: 45 to 110 MAD per 1 000 engaged followers
- Permanent in-feed post: 50 to 90 MAD per 1 000 engaged followers
- YouTube integration (60 to 90 seconds): 120 to 220 MAD per 1 000 expected views
- UGC pack (3 raw videos delivered): 1 800 to 4 500 MAD depending on the profile
These ranges assume a verified Moroccan audience and an engagement rate above 3 %. A creator with 50 000 engaged followers can therefore charge between 2 250 and 5 500 MAD for a Reel. The spread is deliberately wide: your job is to climb the range, not to aim at the floor.
The multipliers to apply
A rate is never a bare number. It adjusts according to several variables that brands accept readily once you explain them.
- Category exclusivity: add 30 to 50 % of the base rate if the brand asks you not to work with a direct competitor for 60 days.
- Paid media usage rights: if the brand wants to boost your content as a Meta or TikTok ad, count on an uplift of 50 to 100 % for 30 days of usage.
- Tight deadline: less than 5 days between brief and publication means 20 to 30 % more.
- Restrictive brief: an imposed script, multiple approval rounds, more than 3 rounds of revisions planned, that is at least 25 % more.
- Subtitles in darija or English on top of French: 200 to 500 MAD per deliverable.
These multipliers are not negotiable downwards. They are the added value you bring, and serious brands understand that.
Concrete examples in MAD
Take three typical profiles to see how these principles play out.
Nano food creator in Casablanca, 12 000 followers, 6 % engagement. Base Reel: 720 MAD. With 30 days of exclusivity against competitors: 1 008 MAD. A pack of 3 Stories on top: +600 MAD. Total invoice: 1 608 MAD for one day of shooting and publishing.
Mid-tier beauty creator in Rabat, 65 000 followers, 4,2 % engagement. Reel: 3 800 MAD. Paid media rights for 30 days: +1 900 MAD. Add-on UGC pack of 2 raw videos: +2 400 MAD. Total: 8 100 MAD for a complete activation.
Mid-tier fashion creator in Marrakech, 140 000 followers, 3 % engagement. In-feed post + Reel + 5 Stories: 9 500 MAD. With 60 days of category exclusivity: 13 300 MAD. Bundles like this one are where Moroccan creators genuinely earn a living.

How to state your rate without hesitating
The biggest obstacle for Moroccan creators is the hesitation that strikes just before sending the proposal. Here is the sequence that works.
- Always send a structured rate card, never a single isolated number. Three lines with clearly defined packages beat one negotiable price.
- Give your rate before asking for the detailed brief. It filters out brands that are not aligned with you and saves a week of back-and-forth.
- Justify your numbers with your engagement and your audience composition, not with a raw follower count. A serious brand understands the difference.
- Hold your rates. Accept losing 30 % of deals: those are the ones that would have been unprofitable or painful to deliver.
When to revise your rate card
Every six months at minimum, or as soon as one of these triggers appears: your audience has grown by more than 25 %, your engagement rate has moved by more than a point, you have delivered a campaign whose results prove your value, or you have turned down three deals in a row at your current rate, a sign that you are underpriced.
Pricing is a skill. The Moroccan creators who master it double their income in twelve months without necessarily gaining a single extra follower.
